Join Becky Knott on an all-inclusive yoga and cultural journey through Thailand and Laos, combining inspiring discoveries with opportunities to relax, reconnect, and practice yoga in beautiful surroundings.
We will begin in Bangkok, exploring the city’s magnificent temples, lively markets, rich history, and delicious cuisine. From there, we will travel to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city in northern Laos known for its peaceful atmosphere, historic temples, and breathtaking natural scenery.
Throughout the journey, guests will enjoy yoga sessions led by Becky, thoughtfully balanced with cultural experiences, guided sightseeing, and time to unwind. We will conclude the tour with a final night in Bangkok before departing for home.
Flights from America usually arrive in Bangkok in the evening, local time.
Upon arrival in Bangkok, guests will be welcomed at the airport by a representative from our local partner, Asian Trails, and transferred by private vehicle to the hotel. As guests may arrive on different flights, transfers will be coordinated according to individual arrival times.
Some guests will opt to arrive on October 28, so that they can relax at the spacious hotel complex for a day before the tour officially begins. These guests will enjoy a free day, on their own, to relax on October 29.
Check into the luxurious five-star Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, a peaceful tropical retreat set along the Chao Phraya River. Surrounded by lush gardens, the resort offers elegant Thai-inspired accommodations, a swimming pool, an acclaimed spa, and a variety of dining options—the perfect place to relax after arriving in Bangkok.
Meet at the hotel lobby, and walk across the street to SEEN restaurant, one of Bangkok’s top eateries. First, we will enjoy a drink at one of Bangkok’s best rooftop bars, which has a stunning view of the city.
We will enjoy a pre-set, family-style meal at SEEN, an elegant, rooftop restaurant.
Guests can enjoy an optional ninety-minute yoga session with Becky on the hotel's lush grounds.

Meet in the lobby and depart, alongside our local guide, for a walking tour of Bangkok.
Arrive in downtown Bangkok and tour the Reclining Buddha.
Afterwards, we will explore the nearby temple complex of Wat Pho.
Enjoy lunch at the wonderful restaurant Sala Rattanakosin Eatery & Bar. This high-ranking restaurant features a great view of the Chao Phraya River and the temple of Wat Arun. Here we will enjoy a pre-set, multi-course meal to save time, and sample a variety of tastes.
Because this is our first full day in Asia, we will cut the touring short, and depart for our hotel.
Guests will have free time to enjoy the hotel’s amenities, which include a wonderful outdoor pool, a spa, tennis courts, etc.
Take hotel’s boat across the river to enjoy a tour of The Oriental Hotel’s “Authors’ Lounge”.
Enjoy dinner at The Oriental Hotel’s riverside restaurant.

Meet in hotel lobby and walk to our resort’s pier, where we will board a private longboat.
Take a one-hour tour, on our river longboat, of Bangkok’s famous canal system.
Emerge from longboat tour into Bangkok’s largest flower market. Tour the market and the nearby area.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Return to the hotel, and enjoy free time.
Option 2
Visit and tour the famous Jim Thompson House.
Before or after the tour of the Jim Thompson House, there will be an opportunity to shop for silk products in its high-end store. Jim Thompson, among other things, was noted for the wonderful silk products that his company produced.
We will return to the hotel at 3:30 p.m.
Because we have an early flight the following morning, we’ll enjoy a riverside dinner at our hotel.
Meet in the lobby, with bags packed, and depart with our local guide, via vans, for Bangkok’s international airport.
We will get our visas upon landing (likely a 30-minute process).

Meet our local guide at the airport and take a small bus into the city of Luang Prabang.
Check into our five-star hotel, The Pullman. At this hotel, guests will enjoy upgraded rooms in villa-style buildings. This hotel is located a few miles outside of Luang Prabang, in the Laotian countryside.
Enjoy a late, light lunch at our hotel.
Enjoy a yoga session at on hotel grounds, led by Becky.
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Meet in the hotel lobby and drive into town and enjoy dinner at Manda de Laos, one of the city’s best restaurants. Here we’ll have a pre-set, family-style meal.

Meet in the resort’s lobby and depart with a local guide to visit the highly esteemed Manda Lao Elephant Conservation Center.
Guests will spend several hours with elephants, helping to feed and brush them. The experience will be highlighted by a walk with the elephants through a beautiful rainforest.

Enjoy free time back at the hotel, or continue exploring independently.

Board a private boat and enjoy a sunset cruise on The Mekong River.

Meet in the hotel lobby and depart, alongside our local guide, for a drive through the Laotian countryside. Our first stop will be at a Black Bear rescue center.
We will then proceed to one of the most famous sites in Laos, the Kuang Si Waterfalls. This series of small falls goes up the side of a mountain.
People will have the choice to make the 20-minute climb to the top of the waterfall complex.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, Kuangsi Kitchen.
Enjoy free time back at the hotel, or continue exploring independently.

Meet in the hotel lobby and drive into the city for dinner. Enjoy dinner at L’Elephant.
After dinner, Guests may return to the hotel or enjoy a stroll through The Night Market.
Meet in the hotel lobby and depart, alongside our local guide, for the city center. We will position our group near one of the city’s many temples and enjoy the ancient ritual of monks receiving their daily alms. We will hand out food to hundreds of monks, as the sun rises over the city.
Enjoy some free time at the resort before the next activity.

Meet in hotel lobby and depart, alongside our local guide, for the Mekong River. This drive will take about one hour.
We will board a large private boat and begin a journey upriver to a series of caves that are full of Buddha statues and other carvings. These famous caves are perched at the edge of the river.
As we travel along the river, we will have a yoga session on-board.
Enjoy lunch at a local, riverside restaurant.
Visit a local artisans street full of hand-made dresses, table runners, etc.
Take a tour of a water buffalo farm. Here we’ll feed water buffalo, brush them, and even try water buffalo ice cream.
Enjoy free time back at the hotel, or continue exploring independently.

After a long and busy day, meet in the hotel’s restaurant for dinner.

Begin our day with an optional hike to the top of Phousi Hill. Guests who make this 100-meter climb will be rewarded with great views of the city.
After the hill, we will take a tour of the UXO Visitor Center, which is a small museum devoted to the bombing of Laos during the Vietnam War.
After the museum, we will tour The Royal Palace.
Continue to a local temple, Wat Xiengthong, where we will enjoy a tour of the area.
Enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant in the city.
Guests will be able to further explore the city, or return to the resort to enjoy free time.
